Welcome to Baby Lafko's new blog spot. I was hearing some grumblings and requests from friends far and near that we had not put together a blog spot recording and reporting updates on the progress of our little baby Lafko. So I have given in and here it is. As most of you know we are expecting our first baby this December!!! We are pretty nervous but most of all excited. I am just starting my 15th week and the baby is doing great. We have been fortunate to have 6 ultrasounds so far and had lots of opportunities to get some up close peaks. ( I will scan in the latest and post it later in the week.) I, on the other hand have been sick as a dog!!! Drugs help but are not the ultimate cure. My doctor is funny because he kept telling me to wait until 12 weeks and the morning sickness would subside. Well 12 weeks came and went and I am just as sick as ever. When we went in last week he told me that by week 15 things would get better. Yea right!! But ultimately it is a small price to pay for such a huge reward.
We have been slow to start on the nursery. I have been working most of the summer and the room which is to be the nursery is still housing items from the wedding last summer. Our goal this month is to get that room cleaned out and things started. We are still 5 months away and have lots of family and friends who are ready to help.
Well that's all from the Lafko house for now. My next step in the world of blogging will be up upload some ultrasounds pictures. Look for those in the next day or so.
