Sweet Boy

Here he is in 3-D !! Doesn't he look sweet and innocent. He was actually being a little booger. He was so busy playing and sucking on his fingers that we had a hard time seeing his face. This was the only picture that didn't have his hands in front of his face. Notice his hand touching his forehead.

We had a great report on him. He is about 3 lbs and should gain about 1/2 a pound a week from here on out. Putting him at about 8lbs at the end of December. His head measured on the large side, an Evans trait, have you ever seen the size of Grandpa RD's head?????

I continue to do well. Still nauseous but handling it better. To my surprise I didn't gain any weight this month, I feel like I am eating ALL the time!!!! So I have still only gained 11 lbs which makes us all very happy. So far no swelling and my blood pressure is still good!!

I guess that is about all from here. We start going every 2 weeks now but expect everything to continue to go smoothly. We hope you like the picture of Baby Evan as much as we do. Don't hesitate to leave us a message.

Baby Showers

Yes I promised to blog after the shower 2 weeks ago and have yet to do it. But here I am and really hoping that I get better at this blogging thing. Since I last wrote we have had 2 great showers. The first was Oct 4th. Two very dear friends threw me the most wonderful shower. It was SO much more than I could ever have wished for. Showered we definitely were!! Baby Evan is one lucky boy!! His grandmothers went over the top as I am sure you can imagine. And Marty and I's friends were more than generous!!! The girls had some great activities for the guest to do that were great. They created a suggestions book for me and a wish box. The wish box is all wrapped up and we are to take it to the hospital with us. While in labor we can open it and read all the wishes that our friends and loved ones have for us and Evan. I think it is wonderful and can't wait to take it with us.

Marty had to come and help haul all of our gifts home and it completely filled the nursery!!! My mom came over last weekend to help me make sense of it all and I think that we have have some sort of order put back in there.

Marty had jury duty Oct 6th and has been assigned to a jury. It is a big case and he will be there at least through the end of the month if not into Nov. He has been able to go to work on Fridays as that there is no court on Fridays. Well to his surprise his work had a shower for him last Friday, I guess they feel like he might be stuck on jury duty forever. Anyway he came home Friday with lots of blue balloons and presents!!!

Marty and I feel so blessed to be surrounded by such love and support during this special time in our lives. We are so excited to be having Evan and love that we have so many people that are just as excited as we are. We sit back and are amazed everyday at how great God is and how He continually blesses us.

We go on Monday for our 3D ultrasound and can't wait to share that with all of you!!!

Oct is already here!!!!

Yes I have gotten some flack about not keeping up with the baby blog. But really things have been pretty normal and uneventful. Everything with baby Evan is GREAT!!! He and I are both getting bigger and bigger everyday. His nursery is almost done. Marty and his dad painted it early in Sept and we moved in the furniture and hung the valances a few weeks ago. Baby Evan has been very lucky so far, his cousin Bryce moved to a big boy bed to give Evan his crib and his cousins Jonathan and Jadyn both got new bedroom furniture and Evan got their changing table. This also made Evan's mom and dad pretty excited.
Our first baby shower is tomorrow and I am getting very excited. We have had so much love and support from so many friends and family that it is almost overwhelming. Now if I can keep my mom under control with the buying, things will be good. She is starting to get so excited and hoping that he will be here for Christmas.
Our next appt is in a couple of weeks and we will have our 3D ultrasound so I will definitely be posting those pictures. We can't wait to see our little boy!!!!
