Trip to Wichita

Our second trip of the summer took us to visit the Smith family in Wichita, Kansas. This was a first for both Marty and Evan. We had a great time with Aaron, Laura, Maggie and Amanda. Below are some highlights from our trip.

A fun night at the zoo!!

Hey Amanda how did you do that??

Maggie LOOK OUT!!!!!

Evan and Marty's first trip to the circus!!!

Evan's first trip to Disneyland

What a fun and busy summer it has been at this Lafko house! We started the summer by taking Evan's first Disneyland trip. It was so much more than we ever expected. Evan loved every minute of it. But his favorite has meeting all the characters. He would spot them from a mile away and immediately bring them to our attention. He always ran right up to them and gave us a big CHEESE!!! He did great on all the rides he went on but his favorite ride was the carousel. He had to ride it at least once a day. We went to Goofy's Kitchen one morning for breakfast and he was the star of the show. He danced with the best of them and was even Goofy's partner. It was such a special trip and we can't wait to take him back.

Will I ever catch up??

When I started this post I thought it was a great idea. But wow now that Evan is on the go all the time I am hardly ever on my computer at home. I usually get about 5 minutes then he comes in and wants to "help". He is becomming such a little man and is a riot. His personality is definitely shining through. He is very active and doesn't sit for very long, he is always on a mission. He went in 2 weeks ago for his 15 month check up and was in the 75 percentile for height and head but only 25th for weight, he had actually lost a pound since January. He eats like a horse!!! Sometimes I have to wonder where he puts it all but he also never stops. He is constantly climbing on something or running down the hall just to turn around and run back. And should we even talk about he dancing, I have never seen a 15 month old with so many dance moves. I need to get it on video it is quite funny!!! I only have 3 more weeks of school and am looking forward to being home with him. We have 2 family vacations planned and lots of playdates with friends. I hope that over summer break I will be better about posting to our blog. Until then here is a picture from Easter and Evan's first bike ride.

So far behind!!

Is it really March and I haven't blogged since before Christmas???? Lots of catching up!! Since the last blog,Evan had his first Christmas, turned one ( had a great Wonder Pets party), is walking well most of the time running, has been to the Grand Canyon, played in the snow, and discovered that being outdoors is his place of choice. Here are lots of pictures to catch up.

For Evan's birthday Marty took the day off and we went down town. Evan had his birthday lunch at Friday's Front Row at Chase Field and then we spent the afternoon at the Children's museum.
